Do you have this from Harts 1842 Army List (http://www.parishchest.com/shop/index.php?cmd=listlinkeditems&cat=D4111&supplier=&breadcrumb=Armed+Forces%3AYour+Old+Books+%26+Maps: British+Army+Lists+(Hart%27s)+1842+-+1870)?

Colonel King embarked with the 11th Dragoons for the Peninsula in 1811, and was severely wounded, (right arm amputated) in the action of El Bodon, and returned to England in consequence. Proceeded again to the Peninsula the latter part of 1813 with the 16th Lancers, and remained until the end
of the war. Served also the campaign of 1815, including the battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo. Joined the 16th Lancers in India, in 1823, and served as Major during the campaign at Bhurtpore.

You will often find mention of the exploits of individuals in the military in The London Gazette (http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/home.aspx?geotype=London)

Searching can be a bit of a knack - don't enter too much information to begin with, see how many hits you get. If too many, add a bit of detail.
With the surname King, I would suggest you try searching on 'exact phrase' to exclude references to a reigning monarch.

Further to the above, searching on exact phrase 'Augustus Henry King' gives these results (http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/SearchResults.aspx?GeoType=London&st=adv&sb=date&exact=augustus%20henry%20king&), some of which appear to relate to one of your ol'bors

Fare y'well tergether
