Hello all, My name is Billy and I live in Gorton, Manchester. I have been researching for about four years. I started with my Father's family, moved on to relatives families etc. I can't find anything about my Mother's family as both her parents came from Ireland, don't know from where or when and there's no one left to ask. Looking forward to this forum and all that it offers.

Welcome to the forum! You don't know what rain is in Manchester ;) I have spent a fair bit of time there on and off (my mother is from Oldham and my dad, though Cornish, lived for a while in Shaw) - compared to Cornwall, Wales etc, Manchester is lovely and dry!

Mark (yes, it has been raining here again today!)
