stansfield family from Stockport

Hello - I need some help please!

I am trying to found out information on the Stansfield family from Stockport. I have traced a Joseph Stansfield born in 1842 and his father John Stansfield born around 1816, Stockport. Old family legend has it that there is ( or was) a church window dedicated to the Stansfields - somewhere in the Stockport area. I would love to find out if this is true, and which church. Does anyone have any clues or suggestions?
