Henry & Lawrence SALT 1861/1871 Bucks

Hi all and Merry Christmas

I am looking for one of my ancestors Henry SALT who was born in Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight and should be aged around 40/41 in 1871.

His father Lawrence died in the Eton district of Bucks in the 1860s so I am hoping that Henry SALT might be in Buckinghamshire in 1861 and/or 1871.

Lawrence, his father was born around 1800 in Aldbourne, Wilts and should be aged 60/61 in 1861 if he is in Buckinghamshire. I would be most grateful in anyone were able to find Lawrence for me in 1861. The family were millers by trade and moved around a fair bit.

Many thanks for the details. I'm delighted that you have found the family for me on the Ancestry website. I couldn't find Henry SALT in 1881 so think he must have died by then. There are quite a few SALTs in Berkshire (but not Buckinghamshire) who might well be connected with him, most notably those with births in Maidenhead and Cookham.
