Three questions regarding Sir Frances Younghusband.

Can someone tell me if the famous Officer Sir Frances Younghusband fought in the Boer War?

If so which regiment was he with? I would be most greatful.

Sir Francis Younghusband was well known for taking over Tibet 1904.

He was buried in Dorset does anyone know where?

Encyclopædia Britannica Article

Sir Francis Edward Younghusband
born May 31, 1863, Murree, India
died July 31, 1942, Lytchett Minster, Dorset, England

I pickup on this thread as I'm reading "The Buddha and The Sahibs" by Charles Allen and he mentions Younghusband in his book.

Dear Sandy,

My goodness I don’t know why I didn't think of Goggling his name. This is very interesting. I wonder if he influenced Captain Humphrey Weaver my grandfather to move from the 17th Lancers and to The 114th Mahrattas Indian Army. I wonder if Sir John Owen was the friend of Sir Frances Younghusband 1904 Tibet and involeved. My grandparents where very involved with the safty of the 13th Dalai Lama to secure his safty out of Tibet 1911 to Darjeeling. This is all starting to make a bit of sense and could be extremely good for History facts Archives. Is there a Photo of him anywhere? Did you see what I said in the Forum Churches or old News Paper Weddings 1911? as General Sir John Owen gave away his cousin my grandmother Clytie Weaver at St Mary Abbots Kensington. Do you know where the Wedding reception would more likely to have been held at the Royal Armillary House, Arbitrarily House or it may have been at the Royal Artillery? Can’t wait to hear from you again I knew there was some connection with Sir Frances Younghusband - this must have been the one. Kind regards Joanna
