Hi all,

can anyone help with the burial of one of my ancestors?

I have the death certificate of him, he died 1879 in Kidderminster, Worcester.

He married in the Catholic Church in Hayfield before moving to Kidderminster so I am assuming he was catholic.
I am trying to find where he was buried but am unsure where to look for a possible burial.

On the certificate there is a place of residence unfortunately I cannot make out what it says,
Possibly Dock or Book 42, --m Street.

In 1871 he is living in Blackwell Court.
His widow is living with the remaining family in the 1881 census in Broad St Terrace Kidderminster old borough.

If any of this sounds familiar I would appreciate some advice so I can identify which churchyard he may be in,

many thanks all

Paul

Hi

I had someone die in 1889 she committed suicide so wouldn't be buried on consecrated ground, I looked on the local Council website for a telephone number for Cemetery and Burials and rang them, they gave me all the info I needed even gave me the plot numbers so I could find her grave. Give it a try
I think you have all the info you will need ie his name when and where he died and that he was a RC. you won't need an address.

Kidderminster comes under "Wyre Forest District Council" can't give you a number as my computer is playing up this morning

PS just found this
CEMETERY RECORDS ON MICROFILM
(PDF)
... SOCIETY OF FRIENDS BURIAL GROUND. 13. KIDDERMINSTER CEMETERY ... KIDDERMINSTER CEMETERY. DESCRIPTION. DATES. FILM NO. Index to Register of Burials. 1878-1962 ...

you will need to look it up
