He was the son of POOLE Augustus,birth in 1833 à Calais (France) and dead in 1905 (I don’t know where)

Muriel, is it George who was born in 1833 or Augustus?

I can't find the marriage between George POOLE and Laura HASKARD on FreeBMD. HASKARD seems to be a Nottinghamshire name. There is a Laura HASKARD who married in 1891. but she didn't marry George POOLE!

I have nothing about George only his wife's name:confused:
it'snot easy with such lacunar informations
I've found the same mentions as you, it's maybe an error in my grand-aunt's family tree

Most people seem to have married around the age of 20, so Augustus would have married about 1853. So George's year of birth would be 1853 or later.

There is a death on FreeBMD for Augustus POOLE in 1905

Deaths Dec 1905 PooleAugustusBasford7b112 Age given as 69, which makes year of birth 1836

Basford is on the boundary between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

At first I thought Augustus POOLE was such an unusual name that it would be easy to find him, but there are quite a few and a lot in the USA!
