I found a tray and would like to return it to the relatives of Whistler. The plaque on the tray is the following: Presented to Arthur J. Whistler. Late 1st D.M. Sergt. Instructor of Royal Marine Light Infantry by the members of the Winchester Drill Class, as a token of their appreciation of the services rendered by him in starting and conducting the class during the Great War 1914. Any info that would help me locate him or his relatives would be appreciated.

Failing any better suggestions, you could try contacting the Royal Marine History Society who were very helpful in assisting me with a query I had on my father's service in the RM. Someone went to Kew and looked up various facts etc. which was most helpful to me. They are a charity, so make no charge, but I did send a donation towards their expenses.
I hope you manage to find the family, as it would be a lovely keepsake for them.

Found another site for the RM try:
http://www.royalmarinesregimental.co.uk/help.html
You could try asking for help here and they may be able to direct you to a more suitable destination for your query.
Good luck.
