Possibly from a marriage certificate.

But I cannot immediately see a marriage for a Robert Warman and a Charlotte in Essex in the right time frame.

Need to keep looking.....

I see on the 1851 census some of the children were born Guernsey and Ireland, and father was a chelsea pensioner, perhaps they did not marry in England.

Was this a certified copy of the entry of birth or had someone else hand written it. Was it from GRO either way I would phone them and ask for what reason would a birth certificate not have the mother's name on it.
