Have discovered that when my g.grandmother died in 1970 in Tonyrefail, Glamorgan, her daughter moved house, taking the few belongings that she needed and allowed the salvation army to take everything that was left.
Amongst these items was the Hughes family bible with generations worth of info!! (Which pains me even more as I have been unable to trace further back than my g.grandparents).
I was wondering if anyone knew if the Salvation Army would keep such items (wishful thinking I know) or would they simply be thrown?
