hi eveyone. i wonder if any one can help about the 1901 census. i am doing my family tree on the cubbins/macmurray. when i did a check on the census 1901 and also somebody on here called willow did too, it came up as

thomas 40 yrs
eleanor 40 yrs
alice 16 yrs
eliza 12 yrs
emmie 15 yrs
enoch 11 yrs
fred 10 mths (my grandad)
jack 9 yrs
thomas 17 yrs

but in 2005 my daughter was on here in the name of scooby, and got a census 1901 with the help off someone called wirral. on the census, every one of them are the same except, the one wirral gave to scooby has got edith age 11 yrs but i have encoh age 11 yrs. i have an edith who is linked to my grandad but it is be possible she was born after the 1901 census or is she the one that was spelt as enoch? i never met edith so i don't know wha year she was born.

Hello Barbie,

In which geographical area are we looking and under which surname, please?

Whoever finds it first can then post the details on this thread with the references so that others can also have a look. This way we can establish if Edith and Enoch are the same person.

Aha! Found them! RG13/3383/49 pages 22 & 23

I can see where the mix-up has happened. The index on A******y has Enoch, but if you look at the original, it is definitely Edith.

Hello,
This is the link to the thread that Wirral replied to Scooby in 2005.
Might be useful.

Sorry Barbie, but you are talking to the current holder of that title and you have an awfully long way to go to catch up! (Just ask Pam...)
