I'm over the moon at this find on the Genuki site. I've been trying to find out about 55 Adam Street Cardiff in 1891 as on my gt grans death certificate and quite sure I had the right one but not 100 percent sure. Anyway went on to the Genuki site today and had a browse and found this under the newspaper extracts. A marriage between Davies and Donovan, the lady Margaret Donovan married my gt uncle after being widowed and then divorced and the address given is 55 Adam Street. Incidently my gt grans maiden name was Davies so it looks as though a brickwall may be broken down.


So Genuki I will try not to overlook you in the future you've made me very happy today.

I have found that to get a great conception of what life was like inthe 1840-80's read these news paper extracts. I have spent a few hours reading these.
