I am researching the Jaquiers (who have Swiss connections). My Gt Gt Uncle Henry Sparham married Louisa Jaquier in Marylebone in 1846. Louisa was born in 1826 in Hanover Square London. I think her parents were Louis Jaquier b. 1791 in Strood Kent and Susannah Bartley b. 1801 also in Strood. Louisa's sister Susannah b. 1821 in Strood.
I have made a note that there is in existence a death cert for a Susannah Sarah Jaquier b. 1786 and she died in Lewisham.
I believe there is a conection because Gt Gt Uncle Henry was a solicitor and lived in Lewisham. His son Harry Hadden Wickes Sparham was a barrister and a newspaper proprietor (unfortunately I cannot find out whichnewspaper).
I would be so grateful to hear from anyone, this is a real |banghead|
case.
