My name is Don Hancock.
I am researching the following maternal lines in The Haverfordwest area of Pembrokeshire:
THOMAS (Walwyns Castle; Pembroke Dock; Haverfordwest, then Bristol & Liverpool). 1767+
SYNGE (Walwyns Castle; Haverfordwest). 1860+
PHILLIPS (Walwyns Castle; Steynton.) 1826+
JOHN (Hubberstone; Steynton; St.Ishmaels). 1766+
SHEWEN (Sandyhaven, St.Ishmaels). c1760. **
FIDDIS (Hubberstone; St.Ishmaels). c1760
**-I have seen a suggested family link between the name of Martha SHEWEN of Sandyhaven, St.Ishmaels, and the PHILLIPS family and wonder if anyone could supply any clues etc. which might help me uncover this supposed connection. (Martha Shewen married John Fiddis, a ships surgeon at St. Ishmaels in April 1762 and then ended up becoming one set of my 5 x great grandparents).
Any possible links and interests would be appreciated and any information that I could possibly help with would be freely shared.
