The following two birth registrations....
Jan 1930 Penn David J Goodchild Aylesbury 3a 1585
Apr 1930 Penn David J Goodchild Amersham 3a 1582
have taken place in neighbouring registration districts, in successive quarters.
I'm convinced there is only one Penn/Goodchild pairing in that area of Bucks at that time, and anyway the odds that two would both call a child David J don't sound likely.
Other than parental brain malfunction, can anyone suggest what might have occurred here ?
It it possible it was spotted that the original registration was made in a different district from where the birth occurred, and the parents were told they had to register again in the correct district ?
