If possible, could someone please do a quick search for a Rebecca Baxter (nee Binney) on national burials index?
I think she died between 1780 and 1784 - either in Sheffield or in nearby Derbyshire.
many thanks,
P

thanks for that.
Could you check me one more please?
Elizabeth Baxter - Sheffield - Born 4th Oct 1775
Is there an entry for her, before 1792?
I basically have a Richard Baxter - who married Rebecca, had 4 children, then i believe Rebecca died between 1780 and 1784, and Richard re-marries and has 7 kids. The problem is, in the 2 sets of children, there are 2 Elizabeth's.
So, did the first one die quite young?
Many thanks,
P

The majority of burials on the NBI are for 1813-1900. There are exceptions, but the coverage differs from county to county, and even within a county not all places are covered, and not all for the same time-span.
For coverage in Sheffield select Yorkshire West Riding.
The majority time-frame might explain why the entries you want can't be found.

thanks Pam,
The problem I have is that the aprticular time fram I am intersted in is from when my family moved from derbyshire, and derbyshire had little NBI coverage.
Derbyshire does however have a lot of online parish records dating back in to the 1600's so i'll start digging there.
Many thanks,

Hi P,
Not quite sure why the URL I was supposed to have finally quoted didn't appear, though I think it may be because it contravenes forum rules on quoting certain URLs. (And if so, Bo Peep, I sincerely apologise.)
But if you do a google search for 'NBI coverage' you will find the necessary page.
