Hi my name is elaine, i have been researching for 16 months. I have found family connections in America Canada up and down England, and recently five streets away from my mother in Essex who we did not know anything about. I have gone through grave yards looking for family names and loved every second of it(dragging my poor husband with me).
I was adopted at the age of seven and i have four family trees (including my husbands lines) But still not been able to find out about my own birth father Frederick Lock. All i know about him is when he died 14th September 1965 in East Ham London E.6, he was 56 years old.He was not married to my mother Daisy Doris Butler but they lived togther until my mother died in 1964 in Cyprus Place Becton East Ham
I know he was married and living close to Upney train station in Ilford essex, mayby up until the 1950's and had one daughter who was many years older than me.
As much as i love researching my other lines this is what is important to me. I have tried the dockyard in woolwich where i know he worked the doctor's surgery where i know he went but no records have been kept.
