Hello,
I am new to this site but I have been researching genealogy (USA) for forty years. Obviously I am now a senior citizen/OAP.

I am hoping for additional information on John Waller (c1645-1723) of Newport Pagnell, Bucks, his descendants, ancestors, and kin through marriage. My primary wish is to solve or verify John Waller's parentage. Berry's Bucks Genealogies show Thomas Waller and Anne Keats Waller of
Gregories, Beaconsfield, Bucks as his parents, but I do not think this is correct.

John Waller of Newport Pagnell married Mary Pomfrett in Walton, Bucks in 1669. Mary Pomfrett Waller died 1716, Newport Pagnell.
Children of this couple who survived to adulthood:
1. William Waller b.1671, married Elizabeth Savile (3 identified children)
2. John Waller 1673-1754 (To USA. My ancestor)
3. Thomas Waller 1675-c1718
4. Benjamin Waller 1679-1735. Died at N-P. Wife : Elizabeth. (2 identified daughters who each married a Perrot)
5. Edmund Waller b. 1681. Professor at Cambridge. Unmarried. No identified children.
6. Jemima Waller b. 1684-living in 1716.
7. James Waller b 1688-1712.

Mary Pomfrett is believed to be the daughter of William Pomfrett who died 1666, N-P.

I am new to British research and will appreciate your tips and suggestions.

Hi BarbAy
I will take a look at the churches in Newport ,but as far as I remember there are only two,one is kinda really old, with a grave yard and stones, the other sadly I think no gravestones now, if I come across your names I will take a picture for you ,but cant promise because I dont know how old the church or gravestones are.

Cant say I have met anyone local by the name of Waller either ,but maybe there are no descendants left now in this area,Newport Pagnell now comes under the new town of Milton Keynes, and is full of new houses and new people, but there are still a good few old local families around.

Thank you so much for the links. I have given them a quick survey and will conduct a more thorough visit later today. I do appreciate your taking the time to let me know of these.
You mentioned you would be willing to visit the N-P churches and take pictures. I gratefully and with much anticipation accept your offer!
I have several bits of information you might find helpful and time saving. I am thinking I should post that info under the counties-Bucks-section rather than continue in the welcome section. So, may we move to counties thread?
