Hi
does anyone know where I can view a map of Derbyshire about 1750-1800 or thereabouts,
Ideally showing parish limits.
thanks

Hi Paul
Which parish are you interested in? It might not be a Derbyshire map you need.

Hi
im looking at the parish of Alfreton, some of my ancestors lived in several places so Im trying to determine if all of the towns were in the same parish.
Thanks for the links I will have a look,
Paul

Alfreton hasn't changed much since then, it is still a bottle-neck for traffic. I am originally from near there, so post the names and I will try to help.

Hi Paul
Off top of my head, they are all individual parishes. You will find Selston in Nottinghamshire though.
The link here is for the Derbyshire Records Office collection (http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/Images/parish%20register%20guide_tcm2-16919.pdf) shows you which parish register they hold, and more importantly, which parish the places belonged to in different periods of time.
Good luck
