Egerton, Kent and thereabouts

Hi-

Have traced William Brown(e) to Egerton c. 1788 as son of Jesse or Richard and grandson of Edward b. 1717 (Little Chart M.I.). Don't know what to do next since not much on IGI or FHC readouts.

Any help much appreciated!
