I am looking for Knowles in the Hathersage area. George Knowles was christened at H in 1685. He married Helen Bennit at Hope church 1715. They had 2 sons, Johannes and George before George died, in 1721, in a mining accident, and was buried at Eyam which is where the mine was located. Record showed he was from Shatton. In order to confirm the family connection of this George I would like to find the re marriage of Helene or her death. I have looked at Hope and can not find her there. I was thinking that maybe there might be a record at Hathersage,

So you're looking for a remarriage of Helen Knowles after 1721 at Hathersage?

Yes, please, or her death. I figure if she remarried then that would confirm that her husband was the one who had died.

Can't find a marriage in Hathersage 1721-1730 I would think she would have remarried by 1730 because it was a domestic nescessity, forgot to look at deaths/burials, but a marriage could have taken place anywhere?
