A very successful worldwide resource for connecting with relatives (and friends!) with Caribbean connections. Listing is alphabetically by surname, and if your search is Caribbean-connected it's a valid reason to post.

There are several specialist Boards to deal with the many countries and territories which changed hands multiple times in their past.

The most basic reason for Posting is to be there when someone else is looking. But of course you can do your own searches and make your own connections - and you may be successful in your own efforts!

Registration is manual only, to avoid the SPAMmers, and once registered you can communicate with anyone on the Index via public Posts or internal Private Messaging (PM). Emails and private information are NOT displayed in the Index, and you are NOT permitted to Post any email address in public... it is important to the creator/administrator that there will be no SPAM generated or endorsed by this Index.

The latest addition is a new Board dealing with the DNA issue. If you have something to contribute on this - or any other - issue dealing with Caribbean connections you are urged to check this Index out... and register if you think it could help you.

As with many useful resources in this genre, there are no charges associated. Registration and use of the resource is free.

I look forward to seeing you there...Caribbean Surname Index (http://www.candoo.com/surnames/index.php).

Best,
Jim Lynch

Thanks for this, Jim.

I shall be passing the details onto someone at work who is stuck and needing somewhere else to look.:)

Hi...

It is manual registration only. You need to read the first Board in the Index, and click on the registration link there - the Registration links on the Head of every page do not work.

I review registrations once a day - every day, even when travelling - so the longest delay you will get after registering is 24 hours. Many people get their confirmation email within minutes because I spend so long working at my own computer...

Have a great weekend!!
