LOOKING FOR BIRTH /MARRIAGE/DEATH of WALTER CARTER/HULL/YORKSHIRE.PLEASE.

I have been searching for the Birth, Marriage, Death,of WALTER CARTER, I have found a few possibles, I reckon he was BORN from around 1895 ish. (His son Peter Walter was Born in 1921.in HULL, YORKSHIRE. Peter had a Brother named GEORGE. Both now Deceased.) So I have worked around these dates. If anyone can help me in this search,I would be grateful, as I have been searching,|computer| and I will continue to do so. But really do need a bit of help if anyone has a little time. Thank you.:)

Hi Kcapes. My husbands mother told me Peters Birth and Death.

It is his Father, WALTER CARTER I am searching for. Born in Hull, Yorkshire, around 1895

Walter was Married I should think about 1920 ish, Because he had a child 1921, that being PETER.(well his wife did, Do not know her Christian name).There was also a brother born after called GEORGE, married to Eileen. No other Children.
I was thinking if we look for siblings, would it lead us to there parents/Father WALTER.?
Or am I going the complete wrong way around this.?

Walter Died, as I said, in the 60s early part, up in Hull Hospital.
Unfortunatly thats all we know. This might prove to be a difficult one.
Hope we can beat it.I shall be searching again ,right after lunch. I would appreciate your help, and thank you.

If you go on to yorkshire BMD site you can search for BMD in Hull - I have found many of my husbands family on there. I has a quick look and there is a Walter Carter born in 1895 in the subdistrict of Drypool, Hull. It is free to search and you are given a reference number in that will allow you to order a copy of the certificate although it is slightly cheaper to order them through ONS. Hope this helps.

There is also a Walter Carter born in 1897 in Hull - he was one of several siblings - one of which was called George - do you know if George was quite abit older than Walter?

If you look up Peter Walter Carter birth record - it will provide you with his mother's maiden name - this may confirm the detail I gae you earlier about Walter's marriage.

Sorry mel, this one does not look the right one. Can we try the other one, in hull 1897.
Walter was born in Hull, not Lincolnshire,as on your Census form. The one I am looking for lived in Victoria Terrace Hull.(Just found that out through a
family member, who at about 14-15ys old use to visit him with family for holidays.

If you follow the line for Walter aged 7 on the 1901 census it says he was born in Hull - the family were living in Lincolnshire at the time of the census. There was a lot of movement - and still is - between Hull and Grimsby. I will send you a copy of the 1897 one in any case.
