Hi

I recently purchased a fantastic book called "Family Skeletons" by Ruth Paley & Simon Fowler that includes research and tales from records and archives on:
Bastards....... yup found one or two of them in my tree
Begging Letter Writers
Burglars & Thieves .....Have got a convict and several poachers
Cannibals
Debtors .......the amount I've paid out on research!
Deserters
Drunkards ......got those in the family too
Fraudsters
Gamblers .......gave up on the National Lottery after 3 wins
Murderers ..... came close!
Prostitutes, pimps & brothel keepers
Resurrection men ....mine were more into smuggling!
Suicides
Witches .... no comment, don't want to be cursed!

There is also a handy section at the back with resources and places to research your own skeletons in the closet and it is lavishly illustrated with suitable gory and depraved pictures!

ISBN: 1-903365-54-06

Sounds just the right thing to put on my birthday wish-list! :D

A couple of years ago, I was given "The Encyclopaedia of British Executions" (subtitled: The stories behind every execution in twentieth century Britain) by John J Eddleston.

So, if any of you want any look-ups done, just let me know!

(Depending on whom you are seeking, you may wish to PM me...)
