Hi

James was born in Droitwich and is the son of James & Sarah Hyatt, both school teachers both born Tewksbury, Gloucestershire.

Droitwich is said to be the saltiest place on Earth equalled only by the Dead Sea. It was famous from Roman times for its salt. The High Street in Droitwich was once level but is now several feet lower at one end due to the mining of salt. Salt workers in Droitwich had a difficult life and there is a lot of documentation upon the subject in Droitwich itself and at Worcestershire County Record Office.
