View Full Version : Help with which 1871 London cd to buy

I need to search page by page for my MANGIN family in & around Bishopsgate. I have narrowed the cds down to probably London City or London St.George in the East but if anyone can tell me exactly which cd I need to buy (or rather- my husband can buy me for Christmas)I would appreciate it.

I have census entries for 1881/1891 & 1901 but would like to find the whole family on earlier censuses.

Worked it out for myself as I should have done in the first place had I remembered Rod's repeated advice - "Go to the National Archives & search the catalogue".
I did that & worked out that my husband has to order me the London City cd, pieces 412-436 - numbers 415 & 416 covering Bishopsgate.
