Lode, Cambridgeshire - Full of Ayres, Beards & Isaacsons!

I have links to these families via my paternal grandmother who was Annie Beard b Aug 1905 at Longmeadow, Lode. She was daughter of Thomas William Beard of Horningsea and Emma nee Isaacson b 1868.

Annie's sister, Lizzie, married into the Ayres family of Lode. Her husband, Harry Stubbings Ayres bore the middle name associated with his family from one of the previous earlier Ayres wives (also Elizabeth)

Over the course of the years these three families were linked on more than one occasion and also welcomed a smattering of Harts & Cornwells into the clan

Hi I just about remember Lizzie and Harry they used to live in a little cottage owned by my gt Aunt . Harry had two brothers Noel and Jack, Noels son Richard is my next door neighbor . Paul

You are probably related somewhere along the line unless you have moved into the village recently!

Yes i think that there is a relationship some where back down the line, my family have lived in this village since the early 1600s
