|banghead|MY BRICK WALL IS AN UNCLE |computer|Thomas Robertson B/1884 Dundee. Scotland
Parents were Edward Robertson and Mary (Paterson, daughter of Thomas and Susan (Armstrong)
There were three other children all whom were born in Glasgow....
George B/1886,
Elizabeth B/1889, and Alfred B/1891 (My Father)
Thomas is in the 1891 and 1901 Census with his parents and siblings, but I cannot find him from there onward.
It was thought that he may have joined the Army or ? but so far no luck there either.
Searching from New Zealand is very difficult,|book2| so maybe there is someone out there who can give me a hand. Believe me it would be very much appreciated by this old head:confused:

Hi robbie,
I saw the Robertson name and thought I'd have a quick look for you in my info.I have an interest in the Robertsons also as that was my paternal grandmother's MS. Her father James Robertson was born in Dundee in 1826 and moved to Glasgow in the 1840s. He was a tailor and this makes me wonder if there is any connection.
I will look further into the family and write to you if I find anything---we may be 2nd, 3rd or 4th cousins or something:D !! You never know!!!
I appreciate how you must be feeling living so far away.
All the best Sheilah (MS Bruce)

Thank you very much... If you write, I will give you what I have - which isn't much.
I do appreciate the help and HOPE that it amounts to something. My Mother married Alfred the younger brother, and through her HAIR 'parentage' I found 2nd cousins whom I stayed with in 2004 in Glasgow. It would be lovely to have another connection.
Thanks again.

Hi again robbie, I've been doing some digging into the Robertsons.

As yet, I haven't found a connection betwen the 2 of us, but as they both came from the same areas, I'm still very optimistic.

I noticed you have a message on Roots as well and you say you haven't got much before Edward. I have found the family right back to 1841. Let me know what you have and what you need and we can get our heads together.

I f you think it's too much to write on here, you can email me.

All the best for now Sheilah x
