Hello Everyone
Glad to have found this Forum.I have been doing my family tree for about 10 months and I am still learning.I have knocked down a few
I am looking for descendants of my Maternal Grandparents who where.....

Joseph Edward Ryan b 1866 Seacombe Cheshire
Martha Agnes Kate Ryan nee Cooper b 1875 Carlisle Cumbria.

I have their details so thats ok...........

My parents are deceased and the only thing that Mum mentioned about her family was that she was raised by her Maternal Grandparents & Aunt but never mentioned the name of the Aunt and silly me didnt ask at the time.
My Mum married her first husband in 1940 and I thought she was still living in Desmene St Seacombe as she had told me that is where she grew up BUT on her marriage certificate which I have just obtained it shows Mum living at...

40 Leominster Road
Liscard
Wallasey.

Would any one have the Kellys 1940 directory to see who the occupant was please as maybe ahe was living with a family memeber who was the head of the household.
Also any info on the descendants would also be appreciated.
I have the 1894,1911,1938 Kellys Directories

Hi Silvery,:)
I have the details of Joseph Edward exactly as you have onthe 1901 Census.

Mary A Ryan which is actually May Agnes Ryan born Dec 1899 and died 6 days later on June 5th 1921 after having my Mum as she contracted GASTRITIS etc.

I have just found out that the Aunt my Mother was refering to was actually Martha Agnes Kate Ryan nee Cooper sister whose name was....

Julia Cooper born 1877 who married a........

Cornelius Lawton and then remarried in 1937 ..........to a

John Albert Dooley.

I may have to buy the 1911 Census to at least confirm what other offspring .................................................. ............................
Joseph & Martha Agnes Kate Ryan had I am really baffled and dont want to wait another few years as when I have this family sorted out I can get my family tree book published.
Would be great to find living descendants too but this is the only family|banghead| I am having trouble with, the other Maternal & Paternal grandparents and siblings on both sides are complete.
Would you have any other ideas I could search for info??? and how to.
I am familiar with Lancashire,Cheshire,IGI Index & Ancestry as this is where I get most of my details from and ordering Certificates from the GRO in Southport and another Forum I am a member of and Rootschat.
Thankyou for taking an interest in my topic and if you need any help in anything let me know I will be glad to help you as well.
Cheers

If you search on freebmd for a Wirral birth surnamed Ryan between 1900 and 1920 there is only one female - Catherine Ryan 1907. There is no Ryan with mmn Cooper after Sept 1911 when the mmn began to go in the records.

You say you have got all the census etc for Joseph Edward Ryan and Martha Agnes Cooper. And your mother was brought up by the sister of Martha Agnes Cooper, name Julia Cooper b 1877. (this would be your mother's great aunt).

Are you just trying to work forwards then?
