My ex-wife had started taking flying lessons about the time our divorce started (1999) and she got her license shortly before our divorce was final, later that same year.
Yesterday afternoon, she narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she was piloting when she was forced to make an emergency landing in a garden in town because of bad weather and crashed.
The absence of a post-crash fire was likely due to insufficient fuel on board.
Thankfully, no one on the ground was injured. This photograph was taken at the scene and shows the extent of damage to her aircraft. She was very, very lucky.

She will be bristling with anger if she reads this - lets hope she doesn't sweep the floor with you..

I have one of those - well similar, Mine has longer bristley bits and go faster stripes.

I did wonder when I read the bit about landing in a garden, it did make me chuckle
