Does any kind person have access to ancestry's US records???? I only have a UK subscription.
Looking for Edgar Edwin Watkinson (he doesnt always use his middle name) in the 1920 and 1930 US census records, he should be in Summit County, Ohio with wife Lula.
Also looking for him in passenger records/immigration records and there is a Edgar Edwin Watkinson in the index of the Declaration of Intent for Naturalization in New York County. I have been told he left for New York about 1912/1913 leaving his first wife and young children behind and never returned but i do not know how reliable that information is.
Thankyou in advance

Do you know what year he immigrated? The only date I could find was 1897?

Also looking for him in passenger records and there is a Edgar Edwin Watkinson in the index of the Declaration of Intent for Naturalization in New York County. I have been told he left for New York about 1912/1913
Board of Trade passenger records in BT27 are available on the pay-per-site findmypast.
Have you tried Ellis Island (http://www.ellisisland.org/default.asp)?
Thanks FIona and Geoffers for the information, i have just checked out the Ellis Iland site but i dont think that is my Edgar. He married in England in 1909 and had at least 2 children (1909, 1911 and a possible 3rd 1913) before he left for the US
Has anyone had chance to check the declaration of intent for New York on ancestry??
Thanks again
Cezza
