Hi, would anyone have any information on the Leicester Fire Brigade during
WW2? My granddad, Archibald Francis was a member. I am also looking for any old photos of these people.

My father joined the Leicester Fire Brigade in 1947. You should probably start at the Leicester City Council website.

During WW2 the various county fire brigades were organised in the National Fire Service. No service revords for the NFS have survived.

The National Register for Archives lists some records held by The Record Office for Leicestershire, Leicester & Rutland
