Can anyone give me any more information on Exercise Mariner? My gr-uncle Lieut.Cmdr Raymond Keogh was killed when his plane crashed into the North Sea during this exercise in September 1953. He was a Royal Navy pilot (Fleet Air Arm) but beyond this I know nothing of his service history. I know the exercise was a large joint NATO effort involving all the services (about 300 ships & 100 planes) but where can I find out about his military service? I've tried the war graves commission (he was buried at sea) but cannot find him listed.
Any ideas?

Thank you suedent and Peter for such a prompt reply and useful info. I have bookmarked the 2 links as I may have other Forces personnel to check. It's so nice to get info back - everyone on these forums is sooo nice!
