please can anyone help i am looking for information about my grandad or my great uncles my grandad harry alfred hancock diorced my nan in 1958-59 he got remarried to a mavis trim in 1966 we know my grandad died in nov 1992 but that where we get stuck we dont know what he done between 1966 and 1992 in colchester when he died we dont know whether he had any kids or did he get re-married again nor do we know where his brothers bryan and cryil even went please can anyone help we cant get past this brick wall that we cant get past it please help anyone

One of the first places that you could try are trade directories or others such as Kelly's directory. Kelly's listed the "head of the household" for each dwelling with their address. A new directory was created for each year and can be searched by address or by surname. An Essex main libarary reference section could be the starting point - or a trip to the Essex Records Office at Chelmsford.

This is all presuming that he was in Essex... :confused:

Colchester was where he died but where was his previous last known sighting?
