I'd love to introduce myself, and to use the forum, but I can't find how to do the first simple thing - that is how to post (apart from this Introductory thing).
And why do the Posting Rules say that I can't open a new thread?

I am harrtwee from NSW in Australia. I am getting on a bit now, 73 years of age, and would like to complete my family tree before I leave this planet.

I am researching, amongst many other names, HARRIS, COPELIN, MOXHAM, CUCKNEY, NEWMAN and CLEMENTS.

Welcome Hartwee!

Pick a forum (location of the country where you want to post a search) and start a new thread with name and any other particulars that might help us help you. If you have more than 1 name in an area, then combine them. You are never to old to start genealogy!:D

Welcome to the British Genealogy forums.

Not being able to post new threads straight away may be one of the safeguards in place to stop rubbish adverts being placed here. It should be cleared fairly quickly.

When you want to start a new thread begin on the B-G home page
http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/index.php
you'll see lots of headings, such as occupations, history topics, county forums, etc. Click on any of them with your browser and further sub-headings (forums) will appear. Select a forum which interests you or where you would like to create a new thread.

If you want to create a new thread on a forum, you should see an obvious link (new thread) in the top left of the screen, just above the list of threads. If you get stuck, ask.

Good luck

|wave|Hello Harrtwee and welcome to the Brit-Gen forum.

I have checked in admin. and there is nothing at all to stop you posting messages. Perhaps you would like to try again and let me know if you have problems.
