I have been searching for the Morison Tree for 20 years. Morison is my married name.I am from Manitoba, Canada and I Know the family of John Morison ( born about 1795 ) came to Canada from Scotland around 1833. His wife was Ann Morrison. The children born in Scotland ( probably Crieff, Perth.) were George -1826,Ann-1829 & Jane-1831. Janet was born in Ont. Canada 1833, Robert in1837,John1839, Margaret in 1840 & James in 1873. I am searching for John's Parents. There is Robert Morison who also came to the same area , Perterborough County ,Ont. Canada, whose relatives still live in Ont.say Robert & John were related. His parents are listed as Robert Morrison & Margaret Dougal. The follwing are possible parents of John Morison from OPR : William Morison & Christian McEwan M.July 8,1773 at Muthill, Perthshire-- John Morison & Elizabeth Kay M.Feb.27,1783at Muthill, Perthshire-- Thomas Morison & Jean Armstrong M. July 4,1784 atCrieff, Perthshire-- George Morison & Jean McCullouch --M.Dec. 12, 1782 at Muthill, Perthshire & George Morison & Mary Cameron had a son John B. Aug.8.1795, Crieff, Perthshire. Note: Morison can be spelled with 2 R"s. Census records Have 2R's but the Cemetery stone has one. Thank you tenley
