Looking for any information on my g.g.grandparents
James Johnstone b 26.2.1836 in Maxwelltown to John Johnston and Janet (Cameron).
He appears to have been a tailor journeyman who married a Mary Bell. I know they had at least 1 son, James, b 1856.
I can find no information on a marriage or any other children and no trace of Mary Bell although she is listed as deceased when James jnr married in 1881.
The e at the end of Johnston comes and goes from 1 generation to another.
Would appreciate any help.

Also looking for any informationon a William Hardman b. c1891/2. On 12.2.1912 he married Ellen Allison in Manchester. His occupation was given at that time as a grocer and he lived at 468 Bury Road, Bolton. Ellen died in 1937 and William about 1940. They supposedly had a large family consisting of a Frank, Arnold and the youngest was Phyllis. I have no details at all about William.

Also looking for a John Miller Allison, b. c1841 possibly Dumbartonshire. He was last listed as living at Rumford Street, Glasgow in 1877 when his wife Helen died. 2 of his sons, Walter and James moved to Chorley to work in the cotton mills. I can find no trace of John after 1877.

I would appreciate any help

Thank you
Rena
