Hello Ann,

I have the Oxfordshire FHS Burial transcripts for St Ebbe, St Frideswide, St Giles and St Michael and Ann TAGG does not appear at all on any of them. The last TAGG burial at St Ebbe is that of a George TAGG , aged 19, Church Street on 15 September 1850 and there are no more after that date.

By 1871, her son Henry is in St Peter in the East, Oxford living with sister Mary Ann and her husband, so it might be worthwhile looking at other churches in Oxford for Ann's burial. Sorry not to be of more help.

I have the 1871 census with Henry & Mary Ann so may be I should look at St Peter in the East, may be she went to live with Fred & Mary Ann & died there!

Church graveyards were getting full by the mid 19th century and cemeteries were being opened eg St Sepulchre 1849, Holywell 1847. If you think it's important, I'd try the cemeteries department of Oxford City Council.

You could try the OFHS search service, which covers about 75% of the county. I think all the city of Oxford parishes have been completed.
