Hi Sue, do you have a 'where are you now?' section in your newspaper?
Or maybe i should write a letter?
Does this paper cover Maidstone, Rochester and Strood area?
Sorry for all the questions, Wanda.

The Kent Messenger only has current year listings. I tried looking for obits and no joy. Same with the other ones. A letter would be a good idea:)

Try East Kent Archives
http://www.kent.gov.uk/leisure-and-culture/archives-and-local-history/archive-centres/east-kent-archives-centre.htm
and Folkestone Heritage Room in the main library
http://www.kent.gov.uk/librariespublicui/OpeningTimes/LibraryDetails.aspx?id=32
They can both be contacted by e-mail.

I have finally found my way round the Kent Messenger newspaper webb site.
I emailed and asked them if they had anywhere in the paper to place such and articule and also said i wasn't interested in a story just a few lines.I also said i didn't mind about paying.
I randomly chose one of the people listed as working there (cant remember proper title). He emailed me back in minutes and said to send the details, they still need to be run pass someone else so they might not get ito print.
I don't know why i just thought it would take ages for them to reply.
So thumbs up to Kent Messenger!

Hi everyone
If you want to pm me about Kent Messenger advice then please do.I write 3 columns and my husband writes one.
I also do local grave look ups (I don't have a data base so it does take some time as I have to the tour graveyards and I'm disabled) It does help if you have a rough idea of the area in which your rellies died though.I take photo's and email them.I also am willing to try to photo family homes on census records to just give a picture of how our ancestors lived.I find it adds more to the picture as a whole.
