Hi, I am trying to track down a death on my great great granddad. William Herbert Francis. He went by Herbert Francis. He was born Edwin Bishop in 1954 Shoreditch, Middlesex. He was married(as Edwin Bishop) in 1873 Bethnal Green. I found him in Glasgow under the name of William Herbert Francis in the 1881 Census. Herbert Francis in the 1891 Census of Scotland. I could not find him anywhere in 1901, but I do know he was alive at least untill 1910. I can not find a death for him in Scotland or England. What should I do???????|banghead|

The annual index to wills and admons (letters of administraion) can be a useful way of finding when and where someone died. I believe I was told that you can view copies on film at mormon record centres.

Thank you both for your reply, unfortunately there are no Morman record centres in my area. Is there a way to contact them in regards to perhaps purchasing records????

You can request a search to be made by The Probate Registry
http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/infoabout/civil/probate/index.htm
the fee you pay covers a three year search and a copy of the will (if found), if you wish to extend the search, you pay more.
You might try to restrict the period of search by seeing if your chap appears in any directories.
