Hi, my name is Ann. I started this long frustrating search for my family 3 years ago, although it seems a lifetime!!!! My granddad passed away in 1984 and because he lived in England and I in Canada, I didn't really know him. My father never spoke about his childhood, (growing up in England) It was one Easter when my family was sitting at the dinner table we started talking and asking my dad questions.....You could say we cornered him!!! Wow!!! did we learn some interesting things about granddad.........Mind you dad couln't remember a whole lot, but what he did remember was enough for me to start my search. I also learned that I had an Aunt (my dad's sister) still over in England. Imagine...........at the age of 37 finding this out. Lots of waisted time. I contacted her by phone and now we have become quite close and speak to each other monthly. She also was able to give me information that proved to be even more interesting!!!!
Sadly my brother (my only sibbling) was tragically killed 2 years ago, leaving 3 young boys behind. I would love to put all the pieces of the puzzle together for them and my children so that they will always know where they came from.:)
