I'm new to all this forum stuff, having only joined today. I am interested in the Black sheep as I have 2 transportees for Great great grandparents, sent from Cornwall to Tasmania. Assize records for the area you are looking at may be available at local record offices, give them a go.
Also interested in the Bounty Mutineer? I have links to Matthew quintrell (Quintal)

Welcome to the forum.
Matthew I can help you with :) I too have a link to him in my own tree.
Matthew Quintals mother was Sarah LEVERTON.She married Arthur Quintal in 1758
and Matthew was their son. If you follow the male side of the Leverton family
down, you come to John Leverton who married Minnie Ellery. Their daughter,
Mary (born 2 February 1916) married Albert Edward Crapp (born 15 April
1899,son of Alfred Charles Crapp) - the Crapps are my direct relations.

I have a distant link to Matthew, my first cousins in New Zealand are descended on their maternal side from Matthew. Both their grandparents are descendants of the Bounty mutineers. One of their great-grandmothers was Mary Maria Quintal born 1887 in Norfolk.

Interesting that there are three of us with connections to Matthew on the forum. Wonder if any of the other mutineers are represented here?

As most of them appeared to have several "wives" and numerous children, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there were.
