Hi

Would anyone be able to tell me where I can find the electoral roll for Gateshead in 1943?

I recently found out Grandma gave up a baby girl for adoption and that she was living in Gateshead at the time, we didn't know any of this so now I have even more questions about gran than I did when I started my research.

That's just my luck in my search for anything to do with my Gran! Thanks for saving me a lot of time and effort, I hadn't done more than a basic search for this as I have so much on my mind over finding out about my new aunt.

You've helped me before with my search for any information about my gran, I'm still no further forward except for the fact the my new aunt saw one of my numerous posts and got in touch so now I have another part of her life to look into. It seems ironic that after 2½ years of looking for answers to my questions I end up answering them. But it's a good thing I've got a new aunt and that's what I'm focusing on now.

I guess it'll be a trip to the NA one day when the rugrats are older before I can find anything, unless they put WW2 WLA records online, and knowing my luck that'd be a dead end too. |laugh1|
