Hi everyone
I am nearly a newbie I didnt introduce myself before now because I didnt really know what I was doing and you will soon find out I still dont !,my next worst kept secret is I cant spell and cant find the spell check so just ignore that too if you possibly can. Iv'e only just got access to the internet so talking to anyone on line is very new to me.I started researching 4 years ago and it was very much a mission from the heart.My husband was adopted in 1942 and Knew nothing of his birth mother, not even his own or his mums name.It has been vv difficult it was all vv hush hush. however all has been revealed his mum was infact Irish and sadly died in 1967 but he has siblings but thats another story. Anyway all that searching gave me the desire to look into my own past generations, I did ok whilst I could research the civil records I got as far back as 1844 then full stop, stuck. then magically I found this site and even at this early stage have had some fantastic help thanks so much for that. Its really great Knowing you are all out there. Bye for now Linda
