Can anyone read this please?

I am not sure what the occupation in the 1841 census for Henry Oppenheimer reads. can anyone help please? It looks like machinist or manufacturer - any ideas? (I must go to Spec Savers again!).

The details are - 1841 census Essex, West Ham, District 4. (Place, Forest Gate). Page 19.

Henry Oppenheimer, born 1809 approx, aged 32.

It's a beggar though as merchant doesn't tell us much does it! There's a Henry Oppenheim (the name by why the family were previously and subsequently described) on the National Archives, who was a toy merchant, but goodness knows if that is my Henry!
