I fell into the trap of believing what I was told from family, that an Albert Ford was my husband's great grandfather. Having got grandmother's marriage certificate I now know this isnt true and that he was actually called Charles Henry Ford.

While I don't know when or where he was born, from the certificate I can see that his daughter, Daisy Florence Ford, was born in 1895. From BMD records I think she was born in Barton Regis, Gloucestershire. However, I can't now find her or her father anywhere !

I will get her birth certificate but I'm finding it difficult to wait and if anyone knows anything I would love to know too.

Daisy married Alfred Bickerton in 1921 and they lived in Bristol, she unfortunately died young, of TB in 1925. She's buried in Arno's Vale cemetery, only around 100 yards from where we live.

Hi Elley, thanks very much for this. I've now had a bit of a breakthrough and found them on the 1901 census, thank goodness 'cos I've been looking for ages !

Whereabouts did you find Daisy's christening ?

Thanks again

Hi Sue,
Sorry forgot to mention the source. I found Daisy on the British Vital Record Index.
The film number should you wish to order it from your local LDS family history centre is FHL Film 1596781.
