hello everyone
I've been researching my family history for 18 months, and I'm hooked!
I'm researching the Wedlock name, mainly Manchester, Liverpool, London and I've now tracked them to Bristol. I'm lucky that I have a friend at work who has been at this for years with her family and has given me loads of help, but I've still managed to lose a William George and Walter Wedlock in 1891 and 1901 census. so frustrating. My lot have certainly travelled around, now I know where I got it from. I have a small collection of certs, I ask my family to get me one for pressies.

Hi Loopy100,
You say you have lost William, George and walter Wedlock in 1891, I wonder if this is the family you are looking for? For some odd reason they are indexed as 'Dack' but they are definitely Wedlock.

This may have be on connect to your Wedlocks but a billy (fatty) Wedlock used to play football for Bristol City & England in the early 1900s. His family still live in the Bristol area. Fred Wedlock (the oldest swinger in town) is his grandson

thanks for your replies. I should have given more info.
William George Wedlock b. 1884 West Derby
Walter Wedlock b. 1851 Stepney
They are father and son. I last see Walter in 1881, but I can't see William George at all.
As for Billy 'Fatty' Wedlock, my Mum says that her mum did mention him, but as yet I can't see how they can be related.
I have gone back to a wedding of Richard Wedlock and Hannah Hignall in Bristol 1799. I've got to start the task of parish records, which is a bit scary.
thanks again
