Hi, Started family History in 1978. Thoroughly enjoy the hobby, but my how things have changed since then. One branch of my ancestory is challenging to say the least. In one generation going from surname Lewis to Bone - back to Lewis and then Williams. Currently waiting to visit my local Library to acces the Times Newspaper for a reference to a Drowning/Suicide? in the Regents Canal, Hoxton. What a way to end your life! Looking for anyone with connection to Stock brokers with these surnames in London

You can join the Bedfordshire Library online and search The Times at your leisure.

Once joined, go to Information and Reference and then Newspapers Online

Thank you all for your offers, went down to the library and consulted the Digital Times with no joy. Majority of local papers for the area do not survive at this time so it was only a faint hope it may have been featured in the Times. How sad, coroner signed the death certificate exactly 1 month before Christmas. Her sons from an earlier marriage all seemed to continue using the Williams surname, even though they were baptised as Lewis's.
Cannot seem to track either of her marriages, either to John Lewis pre 1817 or to John Williams pre 1841(Both Stock brokers by Prof). What a tangled web. Seem to be at a sticking point with this one until the LMA resume normal hours in January unless anyone out there has any suggestions?
