Hi,
On the 1891 census I have Mark Millard age 40 b. Kempston (Beds.), his wife Harriet age 32 b. Portsmouth and their children; Elizabeth aged 14 b. Dinapore, Harriet age 10 and Mark age 9 both b. Aldershot, James age 8 and Albert age 7 both b. Birr, Ireland, Lily age 5 and Emma age 3 both b. Limerick and lastly Violet b. Bedford. I'm assuming from the places of birth of wife and children that Mark Millard had some kind of military career before becoming a market gardener but I know very little on the subject. Can anyone help?
