Death/ Burial look-up

Could anyone help me to find the Death or Burial of Richard Ratcliffe? He must have died between June 1848 and March 1849 (because his daughter was born in March 49 and he was deceased then) and was living at Walsall Street, Wolverhampton.
There is no record on free BMD and it will be some time before I can get to look at the GRO indexes.

Richard Ratcliff (no E), Wolverhampton, 17, 289, March Quarter, 1849. (from GRO Index). I couldn't see any other Richards in the Wolverhampton area.
